MENTORING OUR FUTURE COMMUNITY SENTINELS

FIRST RESPONDER LIAISON NETWORK

Dedicated to guiding youth & young adults
as the
next generation of first responders and resilient community leaders.

FRLN is an apolitical, impartially inclusive, and nimbly adaptive, IRS sanctioned 501(c)3 National Non-Profit Organization.

Through mediating candid, tenaciously cooperative, and authentically vulnerable conversations, FRLN is helping to bridge the gap.
Building meaningful relationships—for youth, parents, schools and community members—with off-duty first responders,
and their interested public safety agencies.

WHO WE ARE &
what we do

As a burgeoning National IRS 501(c)3 non-profit organization already growing in multiple states and US territories, First Responder Liaison Network (FRLN) started in, and continues to serve, the diverse Puget Sound Region of the beautiful Pacific Northwest and their diverse communities.

Focusing on recruitment, retention, and mentorship needs of public safety agencies. FRLN works tirelessly to ensure those agencies' invaluable future human-capital—our mentored youth—are well prepared to handle the unique professional and personal demands of these sentinel professions.

Our team is built from a host of individuals, all desiring to part of an enduring transformative legacy full of grassroots impact and empathy.

Including off-duty: firefighters, peace enforcement officers, flight paramedics, 911 dispatch personnel, military veterans, school staff, athletics coaches, social workers, counseling psychologists, and at-risk youth counselors. All of us are dedicated to mentoring youth and young adults to help them thrive as resilient community sentinels and engaged civic leaders.

First Responder Liaison Network is organized for the development, implementation, and ongoing support of mentorship and professional development programs inspiring our youth and young adults to mature into engaged civic leaders and resilient community sentinels.

Our core mission is to mentor under-represented urban and rural youth interested in public safety careers.

Our mission is founded on a powerful yet unique approach: seasoned expertise combined with innovative training methods. The result? An empowering environment where diversity is seen as a fundamental strength in building strong teams.

OUR PROGRAMS

3 INNOVATIVE paths to SUCCESS & personal growth

All FRLN Youth will have the continued opportunity to experience—at no cost to them—all three meshed and rotating gears during their time at FRLN.

From 8th grade until 23 years old, FRLN has three distinct curricula built for their individual success and custom-tailored personal growth.

Ultimately producing a decade of personalized training for our FRLN Alumni who are mentally resilient & hyper-coachable blue-chip first round draft pick talent for their future public safety agency and hometown community—eventually becoming FRLN Ambassadors themselves!

3 Innovative Paths to Success:

  1. The Entrenched Mentorship Program (EMP) encompasses our Knee in the Dirt Entrenched Mentorship Mentality® coupled with a monthly commitment to local area high schools. FRLN Mentors and Ambassadors work closely with parents and school staff to be regularly present in the needs of our mentored youth. FRLN aims to be an attentive school resource advocate for young people. Our liaisons work with classrooms to help students prepare for professional careers in Public Safety. Building trust through competence, empathy, and consistent presence is key to our approach.

  2. The annual Youth Leadership Camp (YLC) provides teenagers from urban and rural backgrounds with skills ranging from: CPR/First Aid and physical fitness, along with leadership training. Aimed at nurturing future local and national leaders and future first responders, our Youth Leadership Camp immerses middle and high school students in activities and training. It fosters community responsibility and personal growth, challenging participants physically and mentally as they develop into engaged civic leaders.

  3. The annual Professional Development Academy (PDA) is specifically designed for high school and college-age individuals who plan to enter a career in public safety. This program offers students insight into the first responder recruitment process & career navigation including:
